Books

I love books!  All kinds of books...  I have trouble parting with books.  I cannot write in books - I use Post-its quite liberally to mark passages worth remembering.  I love the look, the feel, the smell of new books.  When that white and red Scholastic box arrives in the office I am filled with giddy excitement.  Anyway, this page will be dedicated to books I love.

Autographed Books

I have had the good fortune to be able to meet some authors of children's books.  Luckily, I thought to have some books handy for them to sign.

This is the first book by Lester Laminack that I purchased.  It is a touching story of a boy's Saturday visit to his grandmother's house.  The sweet story is accompanied by spectacular illustrations.

A super fun story with a funny twist!

My most recent - and oft read - book by Mr. Laminack.  My kinders love this book and often ask me to read it (sometimes twice a day!)

If you ever get a chance to attend a workshop given by Lester Laminack, I highly recommend it!  He is an interesting and dynamic speaker.  In addition to children's books he writes teacher resource books.  Below is the link to his blog:
