Tic-Tac-Toe Linky

I love a good linky!  And, this one is good!  Thanks to Latoya Reed of  Flying into First for this cute link up.  For my tic-tac-toe I am choosing the bottom row.

1.  My favorite grade to teach & why:  KINDERGARTEN!!  I love the little Kinders because they are so eager to learn and love to be at school!  Their honesty and way of seeing the world are a delight.  I love the things they say - my husband is always telling me that I need to write stuff down.  And, I am always amazed at how much they learn and grow by the end of the year.  Go Kinders!

2.  My favorite clothes and shoes stores:  Pretty much a three-way tie between Banana Republic Factory, JCrew Factory, and Loft Outlet for clothes.  I love, love, love the outlet mall!  I always stop into Nine West to check out shoes when I'm there, too.  But, when I don't feel like making the 40 minute drive to the outlet mall I hit up JC Penney and Kohl's.

3.  My hobbies include:  Crafts such as scrapbooking, playing around with my Cricut, crocheting, reading, definitely not gardening, and blogging.

Five for Friday - Where Did the Time Go???

Unlike my very pregnant daughter, Emily, and my youngest, Gabrielle, whose boyfriend is in Marine boot camp, I'm not wishing away summer.  I cannot believe that this is the last Friday in June!  But, here it is Friday already, and I've got my five!

 1.  This is what was supposed to be a touching Father's Day picture with Papa and his girls.  Well, Isabella wasn't feeling it.  She did not want her picture taken!!  I'm not quite sure why she was "groggy," but it sure made it difficult for her to pose.  She perked up a little later!  You've got to love three year olds!  :-)

 2.  A beautiful sunset.  I love the color scheme it chose!

3. Happy Birthday, Macie!  My little porch puppy turned six on Wednesday!

 4.  Tall caramel ribbon crunch, non-fat w/o whipped cream.  Yum!

5.  OK, just pretend that these pictures are all lined up to create a beautiful rainbow.  We had rain yesterday (oh, gee, what a surprise!), and there was this beautiful rainbow!

Linky Party Kind of Day

I found some great linky parties to join while holding my sleeping nine month old granddaughter today.  I remembered to bring my iPad in the event that she fell asleep while I babysat this morning.  I was able to link up, but not write a post about it while holding her.  So, here is my post.  Hop over to these great linky parties and discover some wonderful blogs!

For this linky, bloggers are asked to post their top 10 Math pins.  Here are mine:
(Sorry, but the top two are from my blog.  The first is a game available on my TpT store.  My students really enjoyed playing it.  The second one shows a flower activity made by a former Kinder Diva (she was moved to first - but we still love her!).
Students will enjoy practicing numbers to 20 with this cute dinosaur game. Two - four players take turns selecting a card with numbers made up of ...
Spring Number Bond
Mrs. Bremers Kindergarten: Math Work Stations
Math Tubs in Kindergarten: Math Tubs and Math Tubs
IDEA FOR PRACTICE COUNTING PROJECT...assign a number for each child and have them choose and glue corresponding number of objects. Have them write 2-3 numbers to choose answers from. Exchange with a friend and practice counting!
Mrs. Ricca's Kindergarten: Math
Mrs. Wills Kindergarten: Math Work Stations Part 3
Mrs. Bremer's Kindergarten: Math Work Stations: Get them for free!

New Products!

It's Summer Vacation, and what am I thinking about?  Yup, you guessed it, school!  I guess once a teacher, always a teacher.  Don't get me wrong, I have spent lots of time enjoying my break, but the teacher in me is always thinking of something schoolish.  It got pretty humid yesterday, so I sought the air conditioned comfort of my house and made some new sight word cards and focus wall headers.  Our new reading series has upped the number of required words, so I thought that I'd create some cute new word cards.  I also decided to make matching cards for my focus wall.  We are required to post what we are learning each week.  I don't think that actually posting standards makes sense for Kinders, so I have created a collection of "I Can" cards.  I tried to include those skills that I think will lend themselves to being posted on the focus wall.  Click on the links below the title pictures to go to my Teachers pay Teachers store, and get some cuteness for your classroom!

Monday Made It

Why have I not joined this fun linky party before?!?  I love to make things!

Last Friday two of my daughters, Sarah & Gabrielle (Emily had to work), went with a friend to a painting class.  Taking a painting class was on my bucket list.  It was so much fun that I don't want to mark it as "did it" - I want to take another class!

Blank canvases ready to go.  (That's Gabrielle on the left, and Sarah in the middle.)

The background is complete!  Ready for the flowers!

My finished picture.  It may not be art gallery quality, but it looks nice in my powder room!

Five for Friday: Barn Chores with Bella

It's Five for Friday time again!  (Yes, I realize it's Saturday, but I didn't get a chance to get this post put together yesterday.)  Be sure to hop over to Doodle Bugs for for this week's linky.

I decided to feature pictures taken around our "farm" again, only these are much cuter.

 1.  Isabella & Papa getting ready to feed the horses.  She had her bucket, and barn boots (but, decided that she would be "brave" and not wear her work "glubs").

2.  Once her bucket was filled, she made sure all five horses got some "yummy hay!"  Old Sundance was on stall rest for a sore hoof, so he got his share first.  Next, she headed out to the back pasture where Mystery was first in line.  She threw the remaining hay through the gate.

 3.  Next on her to do list, was to help clean the "fields."  (She corrected herself, "I mean stalls."  Oh, boy do I love this kid!)  After cleaning each stall (except Sundance's of course) she grabbed some fresh hay for when the horses came back inside.

 4.  Aunt Emily came over to take care of her ferrets (lucky us, they remained in the barn when she got married three years ago...)  Bella loves to feed and brush these little critters.

 5.  The last chore of the day was to help (very pregnant) Aunt Emily to wash out the ferrets' water & food dishes.  Emily's dog, Vader, kept watch.
